Latest Reviews of Adidas Deep Energy
Adidas Deep Energy by Adidas (2007) came from the era when the brand was really doubling down on its clinical efficacy as a sports brand, and was one of several scent varieties that ran across fragrance, deodorant, shaving, and bathing products all produced by Coty. This stuff wasn't bad, but also wasn't anything all that special, being just another citrus-loaded scent full of fruit notes and muted spices to mimic the virility of active men without taking the risque route with animalics, a path many same such products took in the era. The woody amber base was also fairly standard by the 2000's, although here it is deftly executed and not scratchy. Being discontinued means this one sells for prices manifold what it's worth, oh well.
There is a product from around the same time period also shoved into Walmarts and Walgreens all across the US, and it was the Playboy Miami by Playboy (2008) fragrance, which is similar but veers a bit more floral and a more with the typical melon calone dose that was fading by the 2000's but still hanging on with brands like Nautica. I think the Playboy may edge this out in complexity, but the Adidas scent keeps it straight and narrow with a bigger focus on orange and apple, and with bigger wood notes in the base thanks to the woody amber dose. Coty axed this line while the more-esoteric Playboy scent continues on unloved except by bargain hunters (as it was in 2008 as well). Adidas seems sorely missed by those who made it their daily gym bag grab, which is understandable.
I only bring up this comparison because the dry down of Deep Energy, which is all I mostly have left with my sample, really brings up strong memories of someone who used to buy and use those damnable Playboy fragrances from the local clearance stores back home like Value City or Burlington, and called them his "secret weapon". Miami in particular really reminds me of how this smells, and it seems the internet agrees with me, mostly. At the time the only Adidas I had any experience with was Adidas Moves (1999) and Adidas Adrenaline (2003) neither of which were all that good. This is at least better than them, and compares favorably to a mediocre scent I'd also rate the same as I do this one. Neutral

Despite some of the negative attention its getting this fragrance is OK for the price
If you just wana smell better this is a good scent for a younger guy instead of axe or somthing of that sort. However better for not much more is avialable. Projects like a beast for 5 minutes and then becomes a skin scent longevity 2 hours give or take 30 min. Great gift for ages 12-16 i suppose

Better than Axe. Nice for the office.
Starts off sweet, powdery, with a hint of orange. Smells a lot like sanitary products, a cheap generic "clean" smell.
Florals, maybe violet, emerge as the powder subsides, the scent is weakening at this point.
After about 15 minutes it's a sweet musk, smells like cardboard.

It stands on the desk of my brother in law and i make a fun of him, i use to tell " you could at least by a Cool Water or a Boss, do you need 100? I make you a loan" and he replies to me " it's simply and decidedly better of your old man's fragrances that smell like a graveyard or a church", ahaha. Unfortunately this orange juice is very mediocre, metallic (horrible the accord of violet, green apple, artificial lavender and orange) and endly boring with a woody base with amber, musk, patchouli and masculine artificial spices. A sporty deodorant. It smells oily.
Clinique Happy for men but way cheaper in price! The scent lasts about 3-4 hours after that you won't get more out of this. This is a after shower scent!
