Reviews of Agua Fresca by Adolfo Dominguez
The top reminds me of Armani Eau pour Homme.
The heart reminds me of Lancetti Homme (aka Lui).
The drydown reminds me of Monsieur, still by Lancetti.
What a journey, what a gem! I got a large 260ml (!!) splash bottle for under $30 shipped... a big win in my book and probably in anyone who loves old school (but not dated) citrus-aromatic fragrance, with a piney/mossy/woody base. Performance is on the modest side, but at current pricing, anyone can afford to overspray!
Highly recommended.
Best worn in Spring/Fall days than hot summer ones imo, 30+

Bitter citrus and clary sage to start. This last for roughly 20 minutes then I get some soft Rosemary and Juniper with light citrus. After the 60 minute mark it's a skin scent on me with Pine, Vetiver and soft woods. I find it to be very nice but not long lasting. It's similar to Houbigant's Fougère Royale with the Houbigant being A LOT better from start to finish. For the price I would say it's a safe blind buy for casual or office use at under $40 US. Enjoy!

Holiday scents #5 - Adolfo Dominguez, Agua Fresca
Traditional barbershop goodness in the assertive but friendly Spanish aesthetic. Predictable notes for its genre, opens up rather soapy, eventually dries down to a glorious cedar with spicy, nutmeggy overtones, but never too sweet. Rather old-school, it is lovely for work in summer, with around nine hours longevity on skin and acceptable sillage. A typically local, Mediterranean effort.
Interestingly, it is terrifically good value to buy in Spain, compared to the large premium on other Spanish labels, such as Loewe. I bought a 60ml bottle with a 20ml travel vial on the basis of testing. I find it a very nice addition to my collection for use in the remainder of the summer, although I find the bottle design to be poorly thought out and prone to leakage - the rounded spray apparatus does not fit well on the squared bottle. Nice wooden cap though.

This is grassy green with a woody amber dry down. Unfortunately its all over in 90 minutes max. Hence a neutral not a thumbs up
This fragrance is simply classy! I must say its longevity on my skin is something like 12+ hrs, I know is this is amazing. Siliage and projection is also too good, no doubt a masterpiece by Adolfo Dominguez. Thumbs up 10/10. :)
This is an underrated gem. Love it, and a steal at the price. A wonderful uncomplicated citrus which hints at the more expensive Armani Eau Pour Homme, an all time elegant classic and personal favorite. Agua Fresca also wears like an updated version of Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior.
One of the best citrus / woody scents out there with Eau d'Orange Verte by Hermès. Fresh, calm, sunny, rustic and masculine. I like the "old-bookstore-style" metaphor by castorpollux. As has been said, the longevity is not great but this is normal in such citrus fragrances.
The opening reminds me of the tangy nose of a cut-fruit laden white Rioja Sangria (served in an icy cold blue-glass pitcher) that I enjoyed at a fine Spanish restaurant. Woodsy, herbal notes back up the fruit but they don't overwhelm it. The laid back middle notes and drydown keep the fruit alive and both phases hold quietly close to the skin but are definitely not hard to notice and enjoy, particularly as the modest sillage drifts past the wearer's nose on a warm, sultry summer evening.
I find Agua Fresca to be a soapy, tart citrus scent. It isn't bad, but I am rather ambivalent toward it.
Thumbs up with caution. You can get an idea of how great this is by looking at how every other reviewer is waxing poetic, however...This doesn't seem to have great longevity and therefore could require some over-application to get the job done. The good news is that over-application won't offend anyone.
A pleasant woodsy and citrus fragrance. There is a hint of a medicinal aspect to its notes, but agreeable, nonetheless. It reminds me of herbs set out to dry. Unique and unusual. However, like all of Adolfo Dominguez' fragrances, the longevity is not very good.
Classic fresh Cologne, timeless and refined! Bought it in Sevilla one year ago by the advise in El Corte Inglés: I was searching for 1 MORE Lavanda besides one of my favourites: "Lavanda de Sevilla" and the woman came up with this one - I'm happy I followed her advise. Citrused, can't realy find the Lavender (?), but, hélas, smelling such a masterpiece who realy cares about the "déficit" in Lavender...!!!
Fresh citrus and fruits that's aquatic and clean.
fresh blast of citrus and fruits with a tinge of herbs and green notes...something like lime flavored soaps...it does have tht out of shower feel/soapy feel to it. by midnotes the woody notes unveal itself with a touch of cardboard smell and lavender on a base of vetiver and amber...none of the notes are too prominent...every accord is blended to perfection.
Agua Fresca is great. It's delicate, fresh, green and woody on the drydown, but all the while subtle, like a butterfly settling on a cactus flower somewhere in Andalucia during Spring. Resembles Paco Rabanne XS but is actually much nicer; can be bought blind and it won't offend.
Your zephyr carries memoriesOf sparkling meadows caressed, Clear streams traversed.Sweet Lavender muse, Now whispering joy unto my Northern heart.
This scent is everything a great summer fresh scent for men must be like: masculine yet misty fresh, soft dry woods and some wild little flowers, like a real spanish countryside, sun and rustic old world feel that has an amazing, darker (but not too much) side that dries down in an elegant, old-bookstore-style way that even has an intelligent effect that may be lost on other scents that are on the same category. Pine needles, sand, woods, lights and shadows and early moring and late afternoon sun, come together here. Surprinsingly longlasting and decent - not too great- sillage, this is a winner and I will buy it again. I got the 4oz. box that has a great, simple and heavy sprayer glass bottle that has a very nice wooden top, very rustic and very nice.
