The company say:

A unisex fragrance with a heart of a warm Mediterranean sea breeze, sunshine and shimmering water. A true summer citrus marine Eau De Parfum with the dance of the wind as it passes through coastal lemon trees, picking up weight and confidence of the spices and amber of the umbrella trees, rooted into the cliff face. An entwine of fresh bergamot, mandarin and warm marine notes brings instant refreshment. The heart is a vivacious combination of orange blossom with a hint of vanilla that brings a smooth character and creamy note to complement the initial sparkle. Base notes of wood, amber, ambrette and ginger give the fragrance a mellow warmth reminiscent of a Mediterranean evening.

I kind of feel foolish because my feelings about this fragrance are sort of my own fault. I didn’t even read the notes or description, I just went off of the name. I judged a book by its cover apparently. I was thinking I was going to be getting a bright and crisp fresh burst of citrus and maybe some oceany or breezy notes. And in the opening, that’s exactly what I got.

But as time wore on, I thought I must have accidentally used a vanilla moisturizer or something (I didn’t), because I kept getting blasted with wafts of warm, creamy vanilla with a bit of spices like ginger. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it’s not the perfume I sprayed onto myself today… right? And I kept questioning myself silently… what went wrong.

Then, I decided to go ahead and look up the notes. If I had known then what I know now, I don’t think I would have purchased this. Luckily, it’s just the new travel size that the brand offered so I’m not out a ton of money. But still, I guess that serves me right. I should have read the notes.

All that being said, if you know what you are in for, I do think this is a pretty and pleasant fragrance. It’s definitely a gourmand. It comes off a bit like a lemon cookie. It does have a bit of a powdery feel to it, but it’s not an overly heavy powder.

I feel conflicted in rating this because it’s so not what I wanted, but at the same time, it’s not a bad perfume. I do think they gave it the wrong name though. I imagine lemon cookies are not what the mind conjures up for anyone who sees this name. So I kind of think they did themselves in… most people who see this name are not looking for a gourmand, and most people looking for a gourmand will skip right over this.

Or maybe I’m just an idiot? Either way, I’ll give it a thumbs up, but I hope others learn from my mistake. Don’t buy this if it’s not a gourmand that you’re looking for.

Bitter tang of citrus and bergamot heavy in the opening. I had to work hard to smell the marine notes, even a second application didn't bring them much to the forefront. Settles into an odd green tea and vanilla mode for a long while. I agree that this is more of a light green tea and lightly spiced cookies scent than anything. It's not bad, but the name is so misleading (granted I've never been to the Mediterranean Sea, just the Bosphorus....but still).

I do like this one, very light and gingery after some time, more like an airy ambiance that I can fit into the 'tea' or 'tisane' category.

First, just a note to say that all the other sources available include the "di" (of). As mentioned in the previous review, this is an ill-named fragrance and those after a refreshing, summer scent with a Meditteranean tinge are liable to be very disappointed. Rather, this is a melange of more substantial notes that might forgivably be categorised as a gourmand. Ginger, vanilla, and some florals / blossoms predominate. Not altogether a failure, but a) not for me, and b) not what it says on the tin. Surely you have to make the name not completely misleading if want to maximise the success of your product?

I will only give this a neutral rating. Even though it is not my style, I could have given a slight thumbs up. But the scent style is so different from what is promised that I have to take that into account. This is not a warm breeze off the ocean. It is a cozy tea-and-cookies scent.
Starts with a green-tinged citrus note. Tea notes alternate with a marine (slightly rubbery, but pleasant) note. Then spices and a warm buttery/vanilla chord emerge and carry the scent for a while. This is foody. I don't like that style but this is OK. The vanilla is not obvious, and the scent smells like a very tasty, freshly-baked cookie. Surprisingly, some hints of the tea note and even the marine note persist. Suddenly, there is a flourish of the awaited orange blossom -- surprisingly late in the game but welcome.
Overall, a little too sweet for me. Gourmand-ish. Pleasant. The elements are good, nothing offensive here. Just not my style.
