A nothing kind of scentI'm a big Cool Water fan - I had the original back in the day and have enjoyed many of the flankers since then, with Cool Water Deep being a personal favourite. I was offered Cool Water Game at a heavily discounted price (£10) when I made a purchase in a department store recently, so I didn't hesitate. I kind of wish I had - whilst the initial clean watermelon note is very nice, the fragrance is so ephemeral that it's disappeared completely within half an hour of spraying. Basically I'm now going to use this as a spritz after sport - a nice post-shower pick-me-up after a long bike ride or a tennis match. As a daywear scent it's completely useless, however. Who wants a scent that has completely evaporated between the time you've got dressed and the time you've arrived at work? Davidoff, Cool Water, Cool Water Deep - massive thumbs up. Cool Water Game - nope. Not for me.Pros: Initial watermelon note is niceCons: Extremely poor sillage and longevity"
I wanted to hate this because it's Cool Water and a flanker. This actually turned out to be the best of the spin-offs. Both dewy and powdery, I liked it a lot. Very synthetic, but quite pleasant. I imagine this is what blue velvet smells like. (The fabric, not the movie.) A better alternative is 212 Pop or Green Valley.
What I remeber about this fragrance is - whole lot of melon and then some. Fresh, spicy and a bit synthetic but overall not that hideous. People will like it, women will like it on me but I won't like it. I'll rate it neutral on account it is a good crowd pleaser.
Mainly has a synthetic watermelon bubble-gum smell. Good for teenage males I guees with its sweet vibe.
Not a fan of this one at all. There's a bit of melon in it, but it's lost in the cloudy, nondescript synthetic background. Just not a pleasant fragrance; it also smells cheap.
Good smell, it opens with a melon/citrus notes then 30 minutes later the melon and the citrus disapears and all i could smell is spices in the heart, and the dry down, it becomes citrusy again which i find really weird. it doesn't project much but it lasts for 6-8 hours and about 1-2 days on your shirt or sheets...
For compliments, girls loved it. I was getting compliments left and right, my exs loved it, sprayed it on their clothes just to smell it later on when i left... It does sound lame but i kid you not, it did happen and i was shocked because it's nothing special.
try buy or pass... it's a buy. it's hella cheap for 3.4oz

The opening is no surprise, it is synthetic-watery-fruity: The attempt at the melon and the verbena-leaf notes was a good idea but I'm afraid that it could have been accomplished better than it was perhaps better ingredients. The basil, violet, and lavender smell okay on the test paper, but present a muddled and unclear sillage off my skin. I don't get much of a drydown it's quite weak, although its synthetics are attractive. This one doesn't work for me, but that's all right: I still have my bottle of the original Cool Water.
Very fresh and extremly relaxing spring/summer scent. Lasts whole day, what suprised me.
It's gonna be one of my favourite scent for hotter days...

Keep in mind, I am biased towards Oriental/Spice frags. I thought I'd explore the Citrus/Fresh side of things for a change and I was curious about the 'Watermelon' note, so I blind bought CW Game.
If you went to the store, and bought the cheap, powdered laundry detergent, that comes in a box (the one for $4.99 on the bottom shelf) and ripped that little cardboard tab off that wraps round the whole box...opened it, took a big whiff, then talked to your friend who was sucking on a watermelon Jolly Rancher candy who was standing 5 feet away from you, you'd have Cool Water Game.
It's like 94% 'Clean/Fresh/Light/Soapy' and 6% watermelon.
It's not for me, but it might be for you- so it gets a Neutral rating
I spray it on all my socks before I shut my sock drawer now.

100% summer scent! It's very fresh and watery, I can feel some melon in the opening but when it settles down - IT SETTLES DOWN and I can't notice that I've sprayed it at all. In summer it's about 2-3 hours on my skin and a bit more on clothes but in autumn I can't even feel it after an hour! :( Thumbs up if you need a Summer-Only frag.
I made a 180 turn with respect to this fragrance, I despised it deeply when I first tried it, but then it has been growing on me lately.
Well, I do not love it by any means, but I do not mind wearing it once in a while and now I appreciate the freshness of this perfume during the hot desert summer days of this land.

Better than the original, in my opinion. Love the watermelon smell! A little sporty scent, with fresh notes, suitable for all ages. Uncomplicated, very safe and very nice cologne!
Revising an older and much longer review, I have once again changed my mind about Cool Water Game. This time I am writing it off indefinitely.
Game opens up with what is supposed to be a watermelon top note, that really just smells like a cheap apple mixed with sour grapefruit and a hint of basil. It eventually turns into a lavender dominated middle, combined with leather or suede (although not listed) and a patchouli base. The quality of the notes separate are pretty bad, maybe except for the patchouli in the end; and the combination of them together are just horrible. It basically smells like apple juice spilled on a leather couch and sat there in the sun, not to be confused with Nicole Miller for men, which is an apple/leather fragrance that actually smells amazing, this smells nothing like that. Game is chemical smelling, smells like make up or nail polish at some point in time. Then again, I have smelled worse. This one is probably the worst from the Cool Water brand though, as most of the Cool Water flankers are very safe and inoffensive. Game is just all over the place, it takes risks, and they do not prevail.
Save yourself the agony, and just avoid this one all together.. there is no watermelon here. Perhaps with Game, they were going for a mature man's aquatic. It didn't turn out that way.

It is a long lasting fresh scent; a fruity version of classic Cool Water. It is Fruity but manly, too. All the phases of the scent are sensual. Nothing disturbing from top to base .It lingers almost 24 hrs on clothes and more than 6-7 hrs on the skin. The exact notes are as follows.Top notes of grapefruit, watermelon, verbena leaf & basilMiddle notes of black currant, violet & lavenderBase notes of cedar, patchouli & white musk
I noted the same transition in the fruitier notes that the reviewer before me did - the melon almost becomes like a strawberry smell when the herbal notes start to appear (may also be a result of the blackcurrant). At first sniff, I really was disappointed with this blind purchase. Not just because it smelled like a SUB-medicore aquatic from the outset, but also because the herbal notes in the opening were distracting me from the note I really wanted to smell - THE WATERMELON. Well, the watermelon is prominent but not enough to only give the impression of watermelon. The violet and basil end up giving the watermelon a fuzzy, strange vibe (I kinda felt the same about the fruity note in Good Life). This fuzziness is what reminds the wearer of strawberries. But after the fruity notes settle, all that is left is a fully-competent, better-than-the-average aquatic that is both masculine and well blended, and still retains its fresh and fruity notes. Actually, if you're in search of an aquatic that carries a fruit note throughout its duration (consistently 8-10 hrs on my average skin), then this is in a class of only few. Side note: This is the second time Davidoff has used blackcurrant in a men's fragrance (see Good Life for Men). I love its use in both and I can't help but wonder why blackcurrant is more utilized.
This is a great scent for warm weather. The watermelon note is very refreshing. Sillage and longevity is good (6-8 hrs) for a fresh scent. In fact, this is unexpectedly strong--in a good way. 2-3 sprays are enough, which is above average for fresh scents. The drydown is a bit sweet, though, and might get cloying.
Very refreshing, fruity and modernistic version of the original Cool Water. I find this one being casual and the best part is, its longevity is impressive. I really love to spray it over myself and smell it all day long.Highly recommended for everyone as it is very easy to wear.
This fragrance, this subtle, but lasting, fruity but manly cologne, deserves much more than a thumbs up,but it is the most I can do.Regards.
the best of the new cool water varieties IMO its a very fresh fruity scent and has good sillage and longevityas for the scent its very fresh and clean and the melon notes are PERFECT in this one its a cool water that smells diffrent from all the others and its very sexy
Opens fruity with a hint of fresh floral (an earthy or smokey patchouli), dries down floral with a hint of fruit.
It's reminiscent of Kenneth Cole Reaction, however I think Reaction's fruit top and musk bottom works a little better than this.
I generally enjoy patchouli-based fragrances, but there's something "off" about the way this smells. I don't know if it's the fact that the patchouli is mixed with fruit notes, or if it's simply an overly-synthetic take on patchouli. Either way, I don't like it.

This is a very nice fragrance smells wonderful and last great value for the price.
This is definitely a casual scent but nothing special. There are likable qualities about this but there are also parts that can be sickening if you overspray. Not one I would use often.
