This is a wall of mint. Eventually giving way to the earthiness and woodiness, but I wish this scent was more "swamp thing" and less "toothpaste." That's the creature that I'm looking for ... I'd even settle for the Black Lagoon variety.

very aromatic and green...on opening i pictured whacking a machete through some wet fragrant vegetation while sipping a hot cup of mint tea...pretty unique...can't think of a close comparison off the top of my head...at one point it does kind of smell like Rive Gauche Homme with a heavy dollop of mint...after a while gets a little woodiness...keeps bringing visions to mind...now i flashed on laying in the grass after a spring shower with my nose pressed into the grass...weird, different...points for trying...not a scrubber or anything like that, but I'll have to go with a neutral on this...recommendation is, don't bother unless you really like swampy greenery and mint...

Since I already love Black Vines, and I like Fields of Rubus, I thought I would like Creature, too, but I was wrong. Creature isn't bad, it just smells flat, and empty, and doesn't seem to breathe. It reminds me of a child's cold, plastic toy. Yes, a toy “creature”, made from scented, lime-green neon plastic. I can't imagine an adult paying a very adult price for this.

Creature is so minty it literally burns my skin - not a very pleasant experience! I can't pick out any of the green notes apart from the mint and the scent doesn't come off as "green" to me. It doesn't remind me of a living creature but rather of an artificial creature, as it has absolutely no warmth or sweetness or body to meld with the skin scent - it just lies there like a slick, clean, synthetic, slightly nauseating, minty-cool aura.

If your looking for an extremely unique and green summer fragrance look no further. The opening of Creature is extremely strong and has the a lot of balls which many summer and green fragrances are lacking. The mint is tastefully done and doesn't smell like a toothpaste or peppermint. This is more like the mint that's crushed before alcohol is added to make a mojito.

This fragrance might not be everyone's cup of tea, as it wasn't mine when I first sampled it and the top notes were a bit over whelming. After a few wearings I really enjoy this one because of it's uniqueness, staying power, quality of ingredients, and a dry down that is addictive. Don't judge this one on first impressions and give Creature a chance to wrap it's tentacles around you.
