Latest Reviews of Green Almond & Redcurrant
Wee Indeed, I get a pleasant redcurrant in the opening; quite bright but not very intense though. Then a touch of tangerine in the background, with notes of bitterness developing over time; although the latter carries some bitter almond characteristics, on me this is rather a faint note longitudinally as well as cross-sectionally.
Later on a woodsy note develops, mainly cedar with whiffs of sandal, with a restrained tonka emerging that never unduly pushes itself in mit the limelight.
I get moderate sillage; adequate projection, and eight hours of longevity on my skin.
Not a bad spring scent and a nice concept, but apart from the berries it is a tad too generic in execution. 2.75/5

An interesting berry-nut combo, one that seems to think outside of the box of typical fragrance construction.
Jo Malone's limited edition Green Almond & Redcurrant takes the characteristic bright, bittersweet vanilla traits of almond - toned down in this scent, mind you - and thoughtfully mixes it with splashes of red currant (tangy, with a slight rosy touch) and finished with creamy sandalwood. There is a green vegetal effect amid this concoction that is quite noticeable.
The effect is a natural, easy-going fresh experience, having a subtle almond quality mixed with its leaves, along with berry goodness and smooth sensual sandalwood in the finish. Smells thoughtfully crafted, and in the end is another unique, pleasant fragrance worth checking out by either gender.
