I first tried Versace Man Eau Fraiche six years ago and found the combination of lime and licorice to be unpleasant. It made me feel nauseated and I couldn't smell it up-close. However, I'm willing to revisit this scent and give it another chance. I may have to see if my taste has changed or if my initial reaction was due to the licorice note. I'll update my review after smelling it again.

A lemon/grassy note is at the beginning of the top notes. It is fresh, but not really a refreshing Cologne-type creation.

In the drydown a watery aquatic impression comes to the fore, but Indo mit get any more specific details; it is certainly neither marine nor ozonic in particular. There is more a slightly sweet undertone as if a very synthetic ambergris tone was added straight from the laboratory.

A nonspecific woodsiness is the hallmark of the later stages, with touch of a balsamic impression also present at times.

I get moderate sillage, adequate projection and six hours of longevity on my skin.

This summery scent is pleasant initially, but soon reveals its very generic nature. 2.5/5.

Lacoste Live I find to be very pleasant smelling. Non offensive, fruity and fresh. to me it smells similar to I Am King, only deeper, darker, and toned down. Not to say this is a dark fragrance, because it isn't.

Notes.. I don't really get lime. I do get the aquatic notes, and green notes, and licorice more into the heart. I get a tangerine like note mixed with subtle woods over a light tonka bean background. More so, the sweetness from tonka bean, not as much the smell, which is good, since I don't really like the smell of tonka bean. There's also this awesome incense smell, but it's pretty light, and you really have to stick your nose into the skin to smell it. The licorice note isn't too noticeable, it actually smells like licorice too and not anise.

I do like it, but it's a bit played out. The whole fruity thing, using intriguing notes to lure you in. It's pretty generic really, and the darker side of it isn't pronounced enough to give it that niche like kick that us frag heads desire and crave, as most of us are sick of the generic stuff.

The worse part is projection and longevity are pretty much non existent.

Reminds me of Keith Urban Phoenix, has that same weird, veggie-note. This one was released three years after Phoenix. Not terrible, has some sweetness and freshness to it, but it's just odd and I can't think of where or when this would be what I would want to spray on when choosing my SOTD.

Boring and bland, completely hate it. It is heavy on my skin and the dry down smells atrocious on my skin, a very green scent that isn't refreshing or light. Projection and sillage are also very poor. Skip this one!

If there was ever a case of the juice bearing no resemblance to the listed notes, this is it. This is just another slight variation on Armani Code, YSL l'Homme, One Million, etc etc -- modern, bland, sweet, inoffensive....boring.

I was interested in this one because of the black liquorice, which I adore in Lolita Lempicka, but here I cannot pick it out. Nor do I get much, if any, lime.

C'mon people, you can do better than this...90% of what sits on the counters at department stores smells the same. And they keep churning it out because someone is buying this stuff. I just just can't figure out why...
