As Cevenol points out, this is a modernized version of an old school chypre. It's a great scent for the warmer seasons. It's a clean scent with some aromatic and light herbal touches. You can detect a bit of a woody vibe which is probably coming from the vetiver. There's some citron, neroli, and lavender in the mid which are blended really smoothly together. I love this scent. This could easily fall in my top 20 scents for the summer.

Deceptively simple on first sniff, Le Frenchy grows on you with repeat wearing. EdP strength, but it comes off more as high-quality gentlemen's cologne, a little on the light side. Best if slightly over applied, at least until your nose figures it out. Buy now, while you can still track down the original wood-framed bottles. Rumors suggest it's going to be renamed, repackaged, and of course re-priced. Get a deal on the original while you still can.

Le Frenchy is very good, it's basically an old school citrus chypre getting a luxury 21st century treatment. The top hesperedic opening is fantastic, top notch materials, at this price point it's to be expected I suppose. The oakmoss base is beautiful as well, most likely the cleaned up version Guerlain has developed some years ago, and other things as well with a very satisfying result. The modern touches consists of radiating Iso and very clean modern patchouli, but unlike too often, here used with restrain. It looses in current style projection and longevity for sure but really ads to the composition avoiding the usual contemporary overdose and not coming close to losing old school fundamentalists(me lol).
Now, for that kind of money, obviously to me, it's not a purchase I would ever make. I'm good with my stash of vintage Eau Sauvage, which Le Frenchy feels a lot like adding the modern treatment. Also I haven't smelled current Eau Sauvage in a while but it could very well be fairly close to this now to comply with current regulations. I will compare eventually and update.

Altogether a really good scent

A polite, old-fashioned lemon and herb cologne. The topnotes remind me of ADP's Colonia, mostly sweet candied lemon supported by a classic mix of bergamot and lavender. Guerlain changes things up with a fairly forward tarragon note, a subtle nod to their classics like Chamade, while basil gives a pinch of green. There's also a quiet musky quality underneath everything.

Like most of this sort of classic citrus cologne, there's not much longevity. Smelled blind, I would have assumed this was a Trumper or maybe a discontinued old Creed. It's not bad for what it is, though as a matter of personal taste, I prefer my classic colognes more orange and dirty, as opposed to lemon and herbal, so I don't really need a full bottle of Le Frenchy, especially given the price...
