Reviews of Miracle Homme by Lancôme

Nice pyramid... the fruit of the creativity of Lancome's marekting team, at the time. But let's talk truth: this is a cardamom-ish lavender on amberwood base. Smells like every other mall amber fragrance, even if far to be the worst one I bumped on. And poor projection. Francis Kurkdjian did no miracle here.
The only suggestion I would give to someone who dreams to try it is: do not go out of your way to secure a bottle of this one, it's really not wroth it. If really needed, I'd suggest to go for Lancetti Homme (aka Lui) instead, who does practically the same job, and is still available on ebay for decent prices.
Just finished a vintage sample I recently found in a drawer. You were there, I never noticed you, and now you're gone... I tried you, I didn't hate you, but I won't miss you either... RIP, Miracle.

This was a nice release from Lancome. I really liked the oakmoss opening with a little pepper off the top. The middle to my nose was the best... a well constructed coffee / cedar that I wish lasted longer. The dry down while nice doesn't last as the scent fades on my skin within 4 hours. At the current price point I don't think I will be adding back to my collection due to the longevity... Enjoy.

A light oriental with a nice coffee note, something vaguely peppery, and a sweetish woody base. A goofy aquatic note provides a mildly arresting amuse-nez, akin to seeing a fat man in a pair of red slacks.
The only 'Miracle' is the price this discontinued juice now commands. No masterpiece, but a cut above the standard treacly designer horrors of more recent issue.

Miracle Homme opens with a pepper-green-woody and slightly aquatic accord which smells really astringent, dry, bitter, with a peculiar sort of austere and almost boozy woody note (like mahogany) sweetened by a slight juicy tea-red pepper note on a fresh, elegant, formal and quite conventional cedar-vetiver base – that “hi everyone, I've just been hired here” type of office-safe elegance. Nice contrasts though, and a peculiar, interesting sort of sour, dry sharpness all over, perfectly contrasted by a fresh feel (not a matter of specific notes, just more literally a “feel”). Then, once Miracle starts to “warm” on skin, it brings cedar and vetiver to a prominent position, making them more “round” and warmer than the opening phase, pairing them with something smelling like a sort of powdery, gourmandish, dusty suede note on the very base, which I guess may be the coffee note. No oak moss at any point to my nose. What interests me here is that there's some creativity in here, nice contrasts and shades, masterfully concealed behind a conventional look; you do feel this “fresh woods” are definitely, entirely “2000s designer”, but still there's something more, some elusive hints you keep coming back to smell. Maybe it's that coffee note, which – if I detect it correctly – is just more of a sort of mellow, kind of roasted but also sweet and silky-powdery gourmandish suede note, as I said above. Or that sort of syrupy and fresh “tea-red pepper” note that comes and goes. All I can say is that this scent is... odd, in a positive way: it smells kind of dull at first, but if you pay attention and make some (well, actually “quite many”) efforts, it reveals a really interesting and complex texture. It smells like a conventional aromatic-fresh “boisé” at first, with a nice warm feel, and it's undoubtedly a pleasant, effortlessly elegant crowpleaser: but there's something which makes me think there has been quite some creativity and attentive craft behind this. It's like if all these “conventional” notes are slightly displaced from their usual perspectives, making them all smell just a bit different. The fact that this hides behind an almost dull look, I don't know if it's intentional or a “faux pas” though. I still consider this compelling enough, pleasant and cozy, not boring at all, even if we just take it as a dull mainstream woody scent – the quality is good the same. The main flaw of this scent is that it is really too light and “thin” to make you able to appreciate all its qualities at the fullest – and it surely would deserve that. I appreciate the understatement here and overall I consider this a tad more intriguing and compelling than most of other “office woodies” to which this may be compared to; but still, it would have definitely needed a boost.

From the pyramid and perfumer you would think this would be a 4 star scent.Wrong.
As mentioned before this is a soft-subtle-boring scent.. I have bought and sold Miracle on and off for the past few years.. With it being discontinued sometimes it can fetch a nice penny. It's my SOTD that I will wash off very soon or take another shower.. It's opening is a slightly spicy/woody opening (Cedarwood).. Also I get some synthetic syrup that is not pleasing.. It ends with a bland coffee note and retains some of the woodiness.. The bad thing is that it's undectable after an hour or so and has no projection at all.. It could work in the office but that's it..

a very pleasant but ultimately completely forgettable scent with lots of tea in it that lasts for about 10 minutes on my skin before disappearing into nothingness

It starts woody-fresh-spicy with a noticeable red-pepper & oakmoss presence, enveloped by a slight bitter coffee aroma.
After 30 min. it become sweeter and here is for me the miracle: adding the cedar/coffee/rosewood it turns into a wonderful combination, a spicy-powdery one, never encountered before. Stays like this for the next 3-4 hrs, adding at drydown a slight guaiacwood-vetiver waft.
I mostly perceived it more like a spicy-oriental type that has a great combination of notes and I could easily climb it in my top 5 fragrances for cold weather. Discontinued & wonderful.

Miracle Homme is just okay. My mother has been a make-up artist for Lancôme for 30+ years and has gotten me samples of everything and anything since I was a teenager, this included. The opening is fresh and slightly green/spicy from what I noticed. Eventually dries down to an inoffensive, slightly sweet woods - I can faintly smell the coffee.

miracle is like a safe neutral scent.a faint coffee pulse and i notice a little pepper.when scents became one of my loves, miracle was one of my first samples hyped by reviews from different places. not a let down because its what i expected kinda. nice but not much personality nor drama but a safe scent.

Absolutely intriguing list of notes, very talented perfumer behind the blend too, but unfortunately the scent is utterly disappointing. It really doesn't deliver what the one might be looking for.Very soft, slightly fruity semi-sweet and very rounded mishmash. Pleasant, but very blunt and eventually completely useless.

Never let your mother give you a fragrance as a gift...There's nothing about this one that really stands out, IMO. I was hoping to smell the coffee note more, as it's one of my favorite beverages, but I didn't really notice it.

Nice and casual. Like Lanvin's Oxygene pour Homme but less spicy and more aromatic. Inoffensive and average, great for daytime and office wear.

Miracle is perhaps one of the most intriguing, yet sophisticated fragrances i own. It's fresh, masculine and always gets positive compliments.

I so want to like this as I am a French house fan. I spray it, smell the initial second of scent and then am reminded of the main note: maple. It is too sweet, edible smelling and not sexy, sophisticated or manly. Maple shouldn't be in a fragrance, not a man's anyway. Would be a negative if it weren't Lancome...

Wonderful casual semi-spicy/woody aroma that is great for any occasion, day or night and has some good longevity. It smells very original, sensual, elegant, fresh, warm, sweet yet masculine, just so complex and refined. Seriously though I love the sweet scent of the drydown on my skin and make me feel good, smells damn good! Another good thing is that there's nothing out there that really resembles its scent. I also love Miracle L'Aquatonic. In fact I love it even more, but so far I've only seen it in 4.2 oz bottles, so it's a bit pricey. This is not a party boy scent. If you want to go to a club and pick up 18 year olds chicks with this don't bother. This fragrance is better recommended for males in early 30's or late 20's. Overall, Miracle Homme it's a very nice fragrance and highly recommended to true gentlemen only!

Each time I try this, I like it less. The first time I tried it I really dub the juicy bell pepper opening, and more or less enjoyed the bitter coffee and subtle woods that subsequently intertwined themselves with pepper as the scent wears on. However, for some strange reason, the last few times I have tried this scent I get a strong, sweet and cloying maple syrup note that takes over the entire production! It is absolutely horrible! I would be quick to say that maybe I just got a bad sample but other people have mentioned the strong maple syrup note as well. I'm not totally comdemning this scent since I liked it at first, but at the moment this guy just isn't keepin it real. It would be fun to wear on Mother's Day though and pretend you made your mom pancakes but then not. Or you could just buy something better.

Sadly discontinued now, but I like this one. The opening notes are particularly fresh and pleasant, citrus and somewhat herbal, but it's the heart notes that really get me (love the coffee and the wood together!).

I still have some, and I still occasionally wear it because I've never been afraid to wear fragrance marketed to men, but I'm sparing with it because once it's gone, it's gone forever.

First a little too floral yet gradually more masculine after several minutes.

IT's a miracle - the first men's scent from Lancome in a loooooong time and it's a winner. Easy-to-wear, sophisticated and just darn good. The coffee blended with the woods and a fresh green note in the top combine to create a masculine scent that can be worn any time of year. A classic is born.
