Mon Guerlain has become a modern classic just in a few years. Inspired by a classic Guerlain masterpiece Jicky, Mon Guerlain is a modern fougere-like gourmand for women with aromatic lavender in the top notes, soft Guerlain-style blended florals in the heart and fluffy vanilla and tonka/coumarin, benzoin and woods in the base.

It has become a kind of trend-setter, inspiring women to fall in love again with the scent of lavender, not so long thought as either a top note for masculine fragrances or something your grandmother would scent bedlinens with. Many other sweet lavender-feminines happened at the similar time: Lancôme Lavandes Trianon (2016), L'Occitane Terre de Lumière (2017), Yves Saint Laurent Libre (2019), Ariana Grande R.E.M. (2020), many of them likely inspired by the success of Mon Guerlain.

And, of course, there are flankers - many flankers to Mon Guerlain, and Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose EDP is practically a flanker of a flanker, as it is a bolder, stronger, rosier version of Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose EDT that came a year before.

How do they compare? Well, Bloom of Rose EDT is the citrusy and bright version that showcases a bright, clean, fruity rose and is a very lovely fragrance itself - albeit a bit less unique than regular Mon Guerlain EDP and EDT in my opinion. While Bloom of Rose EDT was a delicate spring-like scent, this Bloom of Rose Eau de Parfum is a true rose explosion: if you thought the EDT is not rosy enough, this is a flanker for you. The rose is the star here: a deep, strong, bold, sour-sweet and very fruity rose that seems to be very in fashion nowadays, as every second house seems to be churning them out right now, and now Guerlain has their own version of bold and fruity rose, too.

Do you love this kind of rose? If you do, run and try this out: this might be Your Guerlain, and your rose.
Me, I'll stay with my regular Mon Guerlain.
