Monarch is a multi faceted leather creation that must be used with care for the rich full character it possesses can become overwhelming. Fullness and darkness from labdanum, olibanum, black tea and oud is garnished with bold floral and fruit flourishes giving the tone of leather an ornate tapestry effect. The result is a redolent and warm fruited leather that is uplifting, comforting and quite bold. Monarch lives up to its name. Sprayed lightly, it leaves a magical patina but when applied heavily it becomes a rowdy out of control mob scene. As a leather masculine fragrance I rate this BtV artwork 3.5 of 5 stars. Definitely test before buying, but a cautious thumbs up!
