This cologne, introduced on the market back in 1986, is relatively easy to be purchased in Italy nearby some tobacconist's and cosmetics shops. It's an old style luminous and "early bird" aromatic chypre cologne (for a fresh and formal morning-toiletry) based on a traditional chord of citrus, vetiver and tobacco together with greens, patchouli, oakmoss and woods. The smell is surprisingly natural and clean, with its bracing but vaguely smoky temperament and with all the freshness landed by citruses that evolves towards a woodsy base with a dominant note of vetiver. I think some bergamot and soapy cedar are included in the blend. The smell is airy, lemony, grassy and barber-shop and finally soapy, possessing a special kind of bitterness imparted by tobacco, herbs and dry patchouli. The general mildness is mainly impressed by woods, sweet tobacco, citrus and by some final smoothing touch of soapy balsams. Not bad at all. Excellent quality-price ratio.

This cologne is a traditionalist's dream with its fresh citrus layering. Does anyone know where I can still purchase a bottle?

A pleasant, traditional, rather distiguished citrus-based cologne from the little known House of Morris. Its opening is clean, fresh and pure. The development unfolds in much the same vein, although tempered with woods. Some may find it delicate to the point of faint and fleeting. Never cheap-smelling, traditionalists may apply liberally and enjoy quietly. In many ways, a superior eau de cologne sort of smell.
