Exclusive to Selfridges.  Roja Dove says:

Deeply concerned by the vulnerability at the heart of our fragile oceans, a donation from every sale of Oceania Eau De Parfum will be made to charities dedicated to protecting our precious seas. Echoing the infinity of our oceans, this fragrance opens with a wave of invigorating freshness from Bergamot, Lime and Mandarin. Geranium and Jasmine drift in on the breeze from a nearby island, whilst Moss, Sandalwood and Orris offer a warm caress as if kissed by the sun, whose light reflects on the waves.

Initial smell for me is like that of a cleaning product. I didn't immediately like it. Want to scrub it off but my delay in doing so led to quite a surprise: the dry down is quite pleasant. I get a warm lemony bergamot musk that settles gently on the skin and smells fresh and clean.
I may not add this to my repertoire only because of price and the initial spray. And this scent seemed to impact my smell receptors. Even after the dry down..I had to wash it off because something in it aggravated my sense of smell.

This one was an actual scrubber for me. As in, I couldn't wait to get it off my skin. Coming from someone who was a big fan of the house in its early days, seeing the brand drop to this level of quality (both ingredients and composition) is simply dejecting. It's a shame that they've decided to lean in on this new direction so overtly for the past five years.

I would have given this a neutral rating if it weren't for the inaccessible price tag. Oceania's opening doesn't remind me of the ocean or of water, but of citrus fruits. On my skin, the sandalwood dry down arrives in less than 2 hours, way sooner than I would expect from a fragrance that costs this much.

Even the citrus opening is too subdued and shy both in quality and in projection.

If you're looking for a citrus scent, do not blind buy this one.

The opening is fizzy and fresh and tart and leaning to the masculine. Exactly according to the scent notes. Grapefruit, lime, mandarin but with a cedar and vetiver base. A masterwork! This is going to be one of my few immediate FBW moments ....but then my hopes of me and my Roja Oceania conquering the world together start seeping away as it becomes a more feminine sharp floral orange. Almost like an expensive room spray. Nothing wrong with that except at these prices it is more unibomber than unisex.
A nice fresh summer feminine perfume. Another casualty of identity politics and politically correct nonsense of our times where even politicians are tethered zombies of the media and much more so perfume houses. Roja has lost the plot recently. Danger and especially Scandal Homme Parfums (less so EDP) are all time greats yet they are replaced by H exclusive or even worse Harrods Exclusive and now.... this. At least we have Vetiver Pour Homme Parfum (EDP and Extrait are nice but weak) which if I only had to own one men's fragrance, this would be it. 503 Service Unavailable
