Osmanthus Blossom fragrance notes
- peach, petitgrain, osmanthus, cashmere wood
Latest Reviews of Osmanthus Blossom
The opening is dominated by a petitgrain of a restrained freshness, with touches of lemon and yuzu in the background.
The drydown begins if the osmanthus, which I would call neither intense nor particularly rich in character. Later in white floral undertones are added - orange blossom above all - with and a peachy sweetness and some orange blossom too.
The base is a white musk affair - with a nonspecific woodsy background - hints of cedar and cashmere wood shine through at times - that is fading gradually until the end arrives.
I get moderate sillage, adequate projection and five hours of longevity on my skin.
A pleasant oriental composition for warmer spring days, that is too generic to convince, but it is an agreeable blend. 2.75/5

Lovely ladies' perfume from Jo Malone.
Fragrance profile:
Top Notes - petitgrain, citron, violet leaf;
Heart Notes - osmanthus, orange blossom, white peach;
Base Notes - cashmere wood, white musk, cedarwood.
All throughout, Osmanthus Blossom has a fresh, fruity and flowery vibe that is romantic and sensual. It's not loud, which is the case with pretty much all of Jo Malone's scents. Starting things out is the citron plus rosy-woody petitgrain (only a scintilla of violet is evident), which leads into the lush, delicate fruity-floral bouquet in the heart, smoothed out with tiny whisps of cashmere and cedar woods plus musk.
Love that apricot-like osmanthus, which I specifically looked to enjoy when I test-carded this ladies perfume. It is a basic construction, meant to honor the osmanthus flower in a no-frills way.

I tried this a couple of weeks ago, and it didn't really make much of an impression, but I am so glad I gave it another try. To my mind it is the perfect summer fragrance, a burst of fresh citrus, softening into a light floral sent with no hint of powderyness. I love it! Only sorry it is a limited edition.
It works very well with Wild Bluebell, and English Pear and Freesia.

This was light and refreshing, simple but very beautiful.This one is fairly straightforward so it would lend well to layering, but I enjoyed it quite a bit on its own. I may regret only buying a small bottle.
This is a very simple composition that starts with the fresh white floweriness of petitgrain. It is by no means sweet or loud but the first impression is almost edgy before softening up nicely within the next few minutes.
As it goes into the heart notes, I appreciate the tea-like character in the fragrance- there was some of that in the beginning, but the aroma becomes more apparent a couple of hours in. As the dry-down progresses there is some a brief woodiness from the cashmere that quickly gives way to a nice citrusy apricot vibe that- again- it's not quite sweet. At this point the wood is almost imperceptible save for some greenness to balance the fruity vibe.
This would be an enjoyable fragrance for warmer weather during the daytime.
