Oud fragrance notes

This is woody and pleasant ... but not at all oud. A purely synthetic recreation that misses the mark entirely.
I approached this with great trepidity. I usually cannot stand the scent of oud, which comes across as acrid and ammonia-like to my nose. This however is the antithesis of oud. I get vanilla and a sandalwood accord (the chemical equivalent, as the real stuff is too rare to be used in modern perfumery), plus a soft amber. As it evolves a tiny amount of dry cedar is added to the dry down, giving it a fresh edge.
As Andrew B. noted, it is smooth and warm. Much like being in an active lumber mill with the warm scent of freshly cut wood wafting in the air.
There is nothing special about it, but it is certainly a great buy at $15 per ounce. For the quiet, unobtrusive personality, who wears scent as an after-thought. Perfectly decent little woody fragrance.

The initial phase is characterised by somewhat half-hearted attempt to create a sweet-ish oud-y impression, but in the drydown this is overtaken by a rather nonspecific woodsy note.
In the drydown a slightly dark fruity aroma evolves, with elements of overripe pear, pineapple and candies apples present at times.
Whiffs of caramel are added throughout some parts of the base, but it is never cloyingly sweet.
I get moderate sillage, excellent projection and twelve hours of longevity on my skin.
An autumnal scent that is purporting to be oud-centred, but is in fact an aromatic-wood composition with a musty undertone in the second half. That smells like oud, but in the Dutch meaning of the word. 2.5/5.

Pleasant, but not oud - woodsy, winy and thick, like a barrel-aged port.
What I get is a nice, smooth, and warm fragrant wood. So smooth that for a moment I thought it was sandalwood. But not like sandalwood. And not really like Oud.
