Sometimes Xerjoff sends out offerings into the wide world of consumers that have me thinking: ‘Pull the other one.' This is one such, with a 400 euro price tag. It opens with orange candy and a weird chamomile lotion and vanilla ice cream underlay. A few minutes later the orange note dissipates, its residue bleeding into the pasty, musky vanilla that occupies the entire spectrum of this perfume – it's a congested, undifferentiated icky-sicky smell that offers me few pleasures. I could mention minor nuances suggestive of hazelnut and planed woods, but that would be clutching at straws. Pretty hopeless.

I usually don't like “blue-smelling” fragrances. But this is blue adult Playdoh; almond, spices and citrus fruit. Good with nice performances.

Very elegant scent that leans nicely toward the dark side...opens woody/citrusy , but the citrus is not bright and sparkly , more sort of dark and dirty...like the citrus in Boadicea's Explorer...beautifull vanilla , but again , kind of rough and dark thanks to the awesome touch of musk/castoreum...I like vanilla/orange combos , and this is a nice one...but the price....ouch !!!

Nice quality fragrance. Horrible price. I get a citrus (which I see is mandarin) note and a light cedar note with vanilla and a little musk. Settles down to a light powdery gem. All the notes in this gem work in harmony. But, like I previously mentioned, the price is crazy. Best off getting in on a split with this one if possible. 8/10

Blue Hope ($500) is a really good fragrance EXCEPT that it smells exactly like 24 Platinum ($50) from Scent Story. 10% of the cost and 90% of the smell. I watched an interview of Xerjoff founder Sergio Momo where he talked about how it took the better part of a year to create blue hope and red hoba. If that's true then Scent story did one heck of a job once again to follow their ace niche quality 24 Gold.
