Reviews of Cruz Del Sur II by Xerjoff

I have heard that this one can sometimes pull like sour milk on some people, and it is definitely not doing that on me. It’s a sweet, and very creamy mango on me, almost like a mango milkshake, but I do get a hint of Vetiver and woody notes which keeps it from going full on foody gourmand to me. But that being said, this is just way too sweet for me. It’s giving me a slightly nauseated feeling and I also feel the very tip of a headache. I do think it’s a pretty scent, which is weird for me to say considering the other things I said about it. It’s like I can appreciate how nice it is, but I don’t want it on me. I feel like this is my reaction to most of Xerjoff’s purposely sweet fragrances. They are just too much for me… which again, weird for me to say… especially if you look at my fragrance wardrobe… I obviously like sweet, so I’m not sure why Xerjoff sweet doesn’t work for me. But it doesn’t.

I do think that if I smelled this on someone else, I would absolutely adore it on them. And I think that if you enjoy Dolce Amalfi, Lira, Italica, and/or La Capitale… you are likely to also enjoy this one.

I can’t give this a thumbs down even though I feel it isn’t for me. I do think I’d love it on others. So I’ll give it a neutral rating

This is a tropical, creamy concoction that absolutely does not work on my skin. You get that initial punch of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango - but almost immediately the whole thing goes lactonic and milky, and that combination doesn't work at all. It makes the fruit smell 'off', or like its been mashed in the milk and then left out too long. It truly makes me gag. I feel like for certain noses this must work, but for me it's straight-up nauseating. I'll take a bright, sharp fragrance like Pomelo Riviera over this any day, and I'm even a fan of gourmands, creams, vanillas, etc.

How can Cruz del Sur 1 and Cruz del Sur 2 even have the same name? I'll have to check this online. They are totally different fragrances. 1 is a very dry and bitter mix of spices and burnt stuff, projecting masculine. 2 is a very sweet mango (my favorite fruit), with maybe some syrup and a tiny tiny bit of vanilla, projecting childish.

Milky mango. An exotic and fantastic blend. I will wear this A LOT during summer.

Sampling Xerjoff Cruz del Sur II, which has a good reputation, and smells mainly like a creamy, sweet fruit salad of sorts, featuring mango and guava, in particular. There's also a vaguely light and floral quality to it, so the mix does not feel like a heavy-handed gourmand. Rather, it has a smoothness while still being heavily fruity, overall. I quite like it, and it reminds me less of other fragrances than Erba Pura.

Priced at $275 for 50ml, it's not cheap, but like the other Xerjoff offerings I've tried this week, it performs well.

An extraordinary blast of mango and pineapple with a pinch of apple drying later to vanilla base. It's THE best summer frag I ever have tried with silage and longevity. A true masterpiece

Juicy, fruity, exotic, and creamy. Like the best mango mixed with vanilla and coconut milk/thai rice. It can be very sweet in the opening so easy on the sprays. The sweetness subsides and the dry down reveals a beautiful soft vanilla. Perfect for warm weather.
