Sine Die

One of the best fig-dominant releases out there, definitely. Sine Die was launched in 2016 by Laurent Mazzone (LM Parfums). A fragrance for the very fig note-implementation's lovers. A "southern mediterranean" composition full of character and carnal attractiveness (at least in its initial and central stage). This is not a airy, bright or subtle-refined (I mean a fragrance with a fig-presence set as balanced fruity component of a classic green olfactory structure) fig note-interpretation a la Profumi di Polignano Magnifico (2018), Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi (2006) or Diptyque Phylosikos (2012) to quote several. On the contrary this fragrance is juicy and carnal for the most relevant part of its run and the fig-presence is the major theme (a super dominant factor) just along the way enriched and characterized by further nuances. Laurent Mazzone Sine Die was definitely a great surprise to me since I find it wholly realistic and vivid (almost liquorous and anyway dark and pulpy). The fig-note is sensual and juicy. There is a green presence provided by fig leaves which enhance a greener (almost sticky and vaguely earthy) kind of vibe while the noticeable presence of grapefruit (citric, aromatic and slightly acid) is responsible of the initial and central juiciness and greenness which surrounds and enriches the pulpy/green fig-aroma. The former gradually restrains its "vibrancy" and merges itself with a final basic presence combining suedish, ambery (sensual and organic) and powdery notes with a more classic violet leaves-spark and some subtle woody tones (this part smells more properly masculine on skin and represents the more mature and balanced side of the whole olfactory performance, something less green/juicy and more mild, floral and suedish). Sine Die is a darkly modern sensual and seductive fragrance really temperalmental and projectful. It is almost hypnotic, especially in its initial and central stages (carnally figgy, bold and aromatic). Performances are powerful on my skin. This fragrance will make you standing you out from the crowd and you will never pass unnoticed. Perfect for summers nights out (romantic or while clubbing around to pick up the ladies). A fragrance at same time romantic and blatant in its irresistible boldness. Recommended.
