D & G The One for Men Intense EDP -
This "Intense" flanker is unrelated to the original and obviously just capitalizing on the line branding. If you want the DNA of the original but with a more dense scent profile, then go with "The One for Men EDP." The Amber in that one is very good and NOT powdery.
Unfortunately, the benzoin here in the opening and mid kills it for me as it comes off as sweet and fruity. It eventually calms down, but that, combined with the smokey powdery base, isn't what I'm looking for. If you enjoy that combo, then this one has your name stamped all over it.
On the plus side, it doesn't smell synthetic, and the longevity is good. As you might expect, this one is best suited for the evening or to wear in cool weather.

Under Bourdon's influence, Herault has been playing with fruity-smoky textures since before he ever developed Aventus, and The One for Men Eau de Parfum Intense is yet another play on the theme.
Cashmeran is the backbone and throughline here, immediately perceptible from the fruity-sweet opening on through the smoky leather drydown. There's a green edge coming from the cypress opening and the milky, figgy mid, before this turns into a benzoin-cashmeran-leather base.
It's all a bit anonymous and a little late-to-the-party, though it's not harsh or scratchy. With a bit more leather this might've made an impression.

An interesting scent from the standpoint of looking at the D&G The One lineup by itself. What I mean is that this is a different take from the original and flankers but nothing terribly unique when compared to other scents on the market.
The One EdP Intense doesn't have the same feel as the rest of the line. It's more sweet, powdery, smooth, and airy. Something else interesting is that on skin, it doesn't remind me much of The One EdT or EdP. But on paper or clothes, yeah, it's there, in the background. Very quiet in the background, but I did eventually find it.
It is very seductive and feels best for date nights.
Best comparisons would be that it feels like Replica Jazz Club with The One's DNA laced in. It also has the softness and sweetness from something like LeMale Parfum.
Off my skin, this was pretty loud and really projected for the first 2-3 hours. After that, it sat closer to skin and calmed down but the longevity was really good as well.
