An Unusual Combination That Works! Isn't it funny how perfumes conjour up memories of past experiences, places, people, certain events and even certain specific years? I enjoy Kerosene perfumes for them being mixes that are somewhat unusual and do just that. Whips and Roses being no exception! This is the scent of Roses and Leather. That's all you need to know. Nevermind the other flowers in the mix; they are in there just in a supporting role. I would classify Whips and Roses as more of a feminine perfume, unless you are a male who can pull off some rose in your fragrances. It opens with rose, bergamot, blood orange (and leather). The rose aspect quickly settles down into a softer more muted one. The base note scent is mostly musk, leather (and rose). Sandalwood is in there, just don't expect it to be very loud at all. Definitely the scent of a well worn favorite leather jacket and soft roses. Who would have imagined that they'd be so great together?
