Latest Reviews of Wood Mystique
An extremely strong sweet unisex fragrance that slightly leans feminine but Men can easily pull it off. This is the first Unisex launch by Estee' Lauder and the flashy gold container is eye catching with the EL in glamorous cursive. Please go easy on the sprays as this lasts all day well until the next. The scent is heavily loaded with notes of Peony Patchouli and Rose, which is the biggest player from the beginning to midway. After that the woods start to make their claim. The fragrance is straight up gorgeous and I'm shocked at how little publicity this gets. I think it deserves waàay more recognition as the fragrance is already 14yrs old. Anywho I picked this up a few years ago for under $60 but prices have since multiplied and greedy sellers on eBay are asking obscene amounts for this which isn't nearly worth it. I'm glad I bought it when I did. This is a winner IMO

I had high hopes for this. Not totally unexpectedly, my hopes were rather sunk by reality.
Wood Mystique is a odd fusion of a floral dominated scent with accents of raspberry and part two being a strong harsh rubbing alcohol/"cedar" iso E Super i.e. Pencil shavings and alcohol kind of vibe reminding me quite strongly of Dolce &Gabbana Light Blue's dry down.
This holds through the heart of Wood Mystique and softens somewhat as it approaches the dry down.
I agree with another reviewer I read who said that this seemed to be a quick dry run in Oud scents for the Arab market . The second release Amber Mystique is much richer and better blended in it's composition in my opinion.
