Very much in the classical chypre style with it's use of woods and herbal aromatics. Opens with a peppery, sweet yuzu blast over leathery woods which is undeniably exciting. One of the best top notes I've ever smelled, almost pineapply, before settling to a more retro vibe from the woody & aromatic elements. The oak wood extract provides a solid base without ever smelling synthetic or overdone. Drydown is very much in the vein of releases that reference a more vintage style ala Roja Apex. Whilst not as strong this is better tempered, sweeter and will appeal to the same sort of audience.

Not entirely my style but the opening has to be smelled to be believed. Conclusion - a modern callback to 70s fragrances with impeccable blending. Most similar within Herault's works to Paradise Found (more fougere) with Silver Night being noticeably woodier. Not my thing but boy I would love to smell this top note in a different composition.
