Latest Reviews of Ô Féminin
I recently developed an interest in orange blossom and petitgrain fragrances. I own a few orange blossom fragrances, the most loved is "Sintra" by Memo Paris. And it IS Sintra that reawakened my interest in orange blossom scents.
I purchased M Micallef "O Feminin" after it was suggested I might like it. I also own Nobile 1942 "Perdizione," an extremely potent, orange blossom fragrance that I like a lot. But Perdizione is a very very strong, persistent fragrance. In all honesty, I'm always a bit self-conscious when I wear Perdizione during the daytime, out of my house, etc simply running my normal, every-day routine & errands.
There's not a whole lot to say about O Feminin. The fragrance is somewhat linear and rather simplistic. But overall, I like the fragrance a lot; the fragrance is really nice.
The opening has evident spicy notes with hints of citrus and petitgrain. Despite being a soft, feminine, intimate, ethereal, ephemeral and wispy-like fragrance, strong petitgrain is definitely apparent in the opening notes, as well as throughout the entire wear...until the very end. The petitgrain DOES quiet down with time. But overall, I detect neroli and petitgrain notes as the main players in the opening and entire wear of this fragrance.
Within 15 minutes or so upon application, floral mid-notes emerge, which balance out the stronger neroli and petitgrain opening. The fragrance develops as a soft, slightly powdery, somewhat musky, floral fragrance with orange blossom & neroli supported by some wood notes, a bit of vanilla in the base.
On my skin, O Feminin is very much an intimate skin-scent with little projection. Despite all the listed floral notes, O Feminin does not wear as a floral-bomb, nor is it beast mode in any way. I wish performance was a bit stronger with a bit more longevity, especially given the price point. But performance is very soft and longevity is minimal.
All-in-all, I'm pleased with my 100ml bottle purchase. I'll definitely wear O Feminin. Not sure I'll repurchase when my 100ml bottle is empty.
