It might smell like a market in Marrakesh, I dunno, never been. But it could conjure up images of a place like that. It opens with a strong candyish amber with distinct almond and cardamom. I also get honey and ginger. There's a thin, woody note that I don't love that smells like cedar. The blending is good and detecting all the listed notes is a challenge. Rose comes out after it warms up and so does a coffee-thing. For a "oud-rose" i don't get a whole lot of oud. Its not my style but I suspect many people would love this. I think it leans feminine. It's overall too sweet and the woods are too thin, cedary and pervasive, for me. At $215/50ml I do think it's a bit much but again, it's not my style and I'm not very familiar with the market.

The stories are woven
And fortunes are told
The truth is measured by the weight of your gold
The magic lies scattered
On rugs on the ground
Faith is conjured in the night market's sound
