What to say about this classic that hasn't already been said except to say that I picked this up in an old men's clothing store called Gigolos in Philadelphia in 1997 and I fell in love at first sniff. I'm generally not an aquatic fan as I think they all smell relatively the same but, outside of that, this is easily the finest "blue" fragrance ever made. I won't get any other ADG except the batches launched by Cosmair. The only difference between vintage and current is the slightly better longevity with the Vintage. This fragrance, vintage or current, never really had great performance anyway but with the Cosmair form I get 5hrs at the least and that's enough for me. This is a beautiful fragrance that was really a trend setter when first launched and now, 30yrs later still graces many a store shelf but again I'll just keep going vintage because that's my preference but this juice is classic nonetheless

I give this a neutral rating because it's obviously me because it smells the same as so many other "manly" colognes. A sample was forced on my wife at Macy's last week and I can't bear it. It has a savage bite that overpowers my sense of smell to the point where I can't distinguish any other notes. Is it what they use for the "woody" note? Or maybe it's pachouli - the essential oil smells like a freshly dug grave and makes me nauseous. I've given up on mens' colognes and prefer unisex colognes. My favorite is JHL which a girlfriend got for me in 1985 which is still available on eBay at considerable expense. I also like Angels' Share a lot.

Where do i start? It's my name and my father used this and said it's his favorite perfume. Fresh and clean, so far, my mom only complimented me. Lemony and jasmine, and the drydown, which I love, smells like a sweet biscuit that I used to eat. Sucks it's been reformulated two times, noticed that the logo "Pour Homme", because of cost-cutting and omitting some ingredients, and gets rebranding the edp and parfum. Still great tho, my first designer brand that I bought on my own money. I have a 5ml bottle also. So far, so great and generic, the best seller since 1996. So versatile and can used as an office scent. 10/10

Inoffensive and light, this is a pleasant aquatic fragrance that lives up to the name aqua, including the 'water-like' performance. I seriously can't get this thing to last for more than an hour or project at all on my skin.

Hard to hate, it's a nice out of the shower scent. Unfortunately terrible longevity.

Reviewing from a free sample, this is more of a fragrance to spray on after a shower to enhance that fresh and clean feeling if you're staying home rather than a fragrance with the longevity and projection to wear out. I personally think people should resist the urge to see this as an "overlooked old gem turned cheapie". Even if it is cheap, the value is still terrible.

It's nice for the whole hour it's around for.

Acqua di Gio is pleasant enough. It produces a cloud of lightly sweet, synthetic watermelon and cucumber. But I personally have no wish to live inside that cloud. I do not understand why anyone would pay the ridiculous price for something so banal. Btw the only marine connection I can think of is the whiff you sometimes get from a sunbather who has applied cheap sunscreen.
