Latest Reviews of Black Collection : Moss
The opening is sparkling clean citrus. The drydown stays clean but becomes a dry, earthy vetiver scent. My initial thought was Mugler Cologne but after trying that again, the Mugler is more sweet and soapy. It does remind me of Encre Noire Sport and Bergamot 22 but is much softer than both.
Not sure this evokes the smell of "moss" or my perception of it but it is very "green" smelling.
The projection is okay for the first couple hours and then it really disappears.

I was excited about this because I love oakmoss and elemi and woodsy scents, but I didn't get a huge moss feel. It was nice, but only okay. I was left smelling rather pleasant, but unmoved. I guess like PumpkinPie mentioned in their review, I prefer that "true moss dirt smell" when I'm looking for something "mossy". I love the earthiness of it, and felt a but let down by the expectations.

I love the start of this, with its ozone, petitgrain, bergamot, and elemi. The middle is greenish but weak. I'm not so keen on the base. Some fragrances with cashmere wood and cedar, I enjoy - not this one. Wearable. Not jumping up and down over it.
Echoing everyone else, there's no moss here. Instead, it's a mix of neroli and vetiver clearly inspired by Mugler Cologne or Creed's Original Vetiver. It's nicely done - I always enjoy the way this combination combines into something piquant and vibrantly green, somehow greater than the sum of its parts. Moss adds to this a juicy, pulpy orange on top that adds to the appeal. The drydown is unremarkable, just a long slow fade of the topnotes without a proper base, which is technically acceptable because both vetiver and neroli last forever, but it's artistically disappointing, like a lost opportunity to do something clever.
In all, I'm voting thumbs up because this is a combination I enjoy, and I like the addition of the pulpy orange, but with the caveat that I'm disappointed by the drydown and lack of originality, as well as the misleading name.

Sweet in the opening and quite interesting. Dries to a Terre d'Hermes, aka Iso E Super.
I like it though, as synthetic as it is, it comes across quite well formulated but does not last long.
Worth a sniff.

A pleasant scent, but I don't get anything remotely mossy in it. I get a bright, cheery orange blossom scent with a hint of musk and woods. Since the profile doesn't match the name, I deduct marks.
