This has a pretty good marijuana accord in the opening. Easily in the top 3, and it makes Kinski look amateur.

Though when I sniff at it and really break it apart, it's more like just patchouli, woods, and a lot of sage. The sage created the herbal element that sets it off the top, and makes me think cannabis. Most people probably wouldn't deconstruct a fragrance this way, they would simply smell this pleasant skunky, green, dirty accord in the opening. Within 10 minutes, it takes on quite a bit of pepper, what they are calling Sichuan pepper here, to me.. smells more like pink pepper, maybe even white pepper, grapefruit adds a subtle citric nuance throughout the opening, but the main focus is one the note of marijuana.

The more it dries, the more I detect the presence of oud, but also as it dries, it seems to start to fall apart a little. What opened as a well rounded, bold cannabis note, became more of a mixture of dirty greens, browns, and spices.. the notes that could very well make the cannabis accord. I thought the first 20 minutes of this fragrance was marvelous, and although it still maintains the skeleton of a cannabis accord as it dries, it's nothing like the opening. The longevity is also not very good, for such a high price tag. I get about 3-4 hours.

History repeats itself, and I have yet to find THE marijuana fragrance. I'll tell you though, this one was damn close, and even if it were perfect, it's just WAY too pricey.
