Captain Eau de Parfum has become an everyday “just because” fragrance for me. I have had it for some time and I don’t recall when or why I bought it. I understand it is probably not popular due to it not being able to fill the shoes of its long discontinued predecessor, Captain EDT (which I have never smelled).

Captain EDP with a strong citrus, metallic violet leaf, lavender and aromatic spice. Lavender proceeds into the heart of the fragrance accompanied by a white floral note. The base is a nondescript woodiness and aromachemicals I cannot name, aside from what I assume are musks of the laundry variety.

The character of the fragrance can come across a little screechy. The violet leaf and woods do not altogether play nicely, and I have accrued some negative feedback from a close associate but never the less I keep coming back for more. For me it has a bracing stimulating effect like a shot of espresso, and it reminds me of a certain certain time and place in my life my appreciation of the fragrance is most likely bolstered far beyond the merits of the juice in the bottle in terms of its quality or ingredients or composition.

Captain EDP appears to be discontinued now so I do not recommend purchasing it unless the it can be obtained for twenty dollars or less.

This review is for Captain Edt. in the new bottle that looks like a dollar store fragrance. Looks are not deceiving here.
It is a watered down juice that will neither impress or offend.
I find a faint generic floral note but that's it. I'd say it's a scrubber but there's really nothing left to scrub off. Thank goodness I only paid a couple of bucks for this. Still not worth the money at any price.
