It opens with a dry, peppery, woody note that reminds me of dirt and dry leaves that extends into the heart of the dry down. To me, it's in the same territory as other dirty-earthy-leathery scents like Encre Noire and Black Afghano. This is pretty light though and is easy to wear, so don't be scared off by that comparison. It's also more wearable than the ones I mentioned because, in the drydown, it starts to get soapy but in an old-school industrial soap kind of way. That's also to say that this has a mature feel to it, nothing sweet or shower gel here.
