The sweetness here reminds me of Molinard’s Vanille Patchouli. The amber note feels familiar, something I’ve definitely come across before, with a touch of patchouli in the background. What you get in the opening stays fairly linear—there’s not much evolution, and I don’t pick up enough of the cardamom or coffee. Overall, it’s mainly an amber scent with some citrus from the bergamot and a patchouli base. The name fits, but while it smells modern and not dated, it also isn’t particularly unique. The citrus and oakmoss blend isn’t very appealing to me, and it feels similar to Vanille Patchouli, just with less patchouli and more citrus. Not bad, but not a favorite either. Performance is decent, and I’d say it’s best suited for fall and winter.
Jungle Elephant from Kenzo, butnmake it chypre. So far, I am not a fan.
