Tingly and fresh like an ice-cold cocktail with some fizz to it, Rose Shot goes for a big, juicy burst of bergamot to make the rose materials used here lift up their skirts and trip about the garden. Accents of green and a slight pollen powderiness dress it up a bit, and the backdrop of smooth, unassuming, almost monochrome woods is just what this needed. Uncomplicated, lively and enjoyable, but my one quibble is the quality of the rose – somewhat ‘standard issue' to my nose.
