Cows are so cute. Unironically my dream when I retire is to buy property on some lovely mountainside, with a big grass field, and to have a pet highland cow (the really fluffy ones.) When I think of cows, I think of peaceful mountains, nice views, grass... cow poop. Haha. I was excited for this one. I was also excited because it's a lactonic scent, but it's not really meant to be a gourmand, so I was curious how it would smell!

My first thought when I smelled it was "shampoo". Like, Head and Shoulders shampoo. It smells SO clean, with a really lovely sage smell to make it more interesting. I was so surprised! It's not what I had imagined Cow to smell like, though I have heard a couple of people share the shampoo sentiment before. It's a very relaxing scent. I don't really get an image from this one, it doesn't take me anywhere (apart from a bottle of apple scented shampoo haha). It's pretty linear too, it doesn't develop very much, which I think contributes to my lack of story from it.

Weirdly, I kind of dig it though. I think the individual notes make a lot of sense for a cow - but the finished result doesn't smell like "cow" to me. The vibes kind of work though in a weird way. It's a very relaxing and chill smell. Not a cow that's being farmed to slaughter, but a pet cow gazing lovingly at the night sky. I usually don't wear perfume to bed, but I would totally wear this one to sleep on nights when I'm too tired to shower, but still want to feel clean. Unfortunately I don't really think this one justifies the price point to buy, but I do think it's very pleasant, and I know I will probably finish this sample pretty quickly because I absolutely will be wearing this one. If you like clean scents, you have to give this one a try.

I really like Cow, the opening is stunning. It's interesting, and lovely but it all disappears so quickly. It really doesn't last very long, there are body lotions that smells stronger. If it had more lasting power, even a bit more then I would purchase a bottle but this is so incredibly light.

Cleaner. Febreeze. Apples. Baby powder. Also reminds me of shampoo, something I'd love catching a whiff of it when i'm out and about. It doesn't necessarily feel like me but i'd wear it. Very inoffensive and pleasant.

I do believe we have a winner. Yes, my favorite Zoologist scent. Not by much (Sloth is slowly nipping at Cow’s heels), but it does win all the same.

Everything that anything does, Cow does better. It corners better, it has a richer tone, it’s less noisy, it’s got sauce, it has a satchel, it’s more colorful, it has a better command of a weapon, it leaves its mark, it uses its words, it-- Look, I could go on and on, but let’s suffice it to say that Cow is just out-and-out better.

Face facts, other things, Cow wins.

Not at all what I was expecting from a fragrance called Cow, this thing is about as pleasant as I can stand. Not a hint of manure. No fly accord. Not even any festering sore stink. Just good, old fashioned good smell.

It’s fruity. Or is it? It’s milky. Or is it? Everything you think it is gets called into question, because you’re just not sure what it is. And that’s what’s so wonderful about it.

The ultimate Zoologist.

Milky apple... Loads of lily-of-the-valley later. Smells floral-green so far. Two hours in, woody-musk, with hints of vetiver. After more time, a nutty, bread-like quality, with a hint of something reminding me of cocoa.

Fairly mellow, easy-going scent. I enjoy the top notes and the "cocoa" aspects, most.
