Domenico Caraceni is well known as one of the classiest and more "elevated" brands of Italian tailoring and its main olfactory creation (definitely Domenico Caraceni 1913 in its either vintage Edt and new Edp formulas) is the mirror of such a holy level of impeccable formal elegance. One of the classiest fragrances ever appointed, the classically structured creation of the impeccably tailored business italian man (discreet, austere, distinguished, secretly edonist and inveterate traveller), a fragrance austere and all at once sultry-exotic, reserved and at same time histrionic, demanding and romantic. This amazing creation smells on skin utterly natural and genuine while creating a magic aura of supreme slightly retrò and at same time dandy refinement (despite the plain modernity of its perfecly balanced formula). A masterpice and probably the best leafy rose/dry geranium/exotic neroli combo of the whole olfactory panorama, a perfect balancement of floral elements, subtle fluidy spicy fresh frankincense, petit grain, balsamic minty patterns (mint, cypress) and woodsy notes with a tad of fresh tobacco leaves. The Eau de Parfum was introduced on the market in 2021 and it is basically a re-edition (just slightly reformulated) of the classic Domenico Caraceni Edt (2007) which was a less durable on skin, less mossy, more minty-citric and basically lighter (with a more evident fresh tobacco-presence) formula while the new Edp emphasizing the mossy/woody aspects of the magic malánge. Art decò neroli, fresh tobacco leaves and mysterious fresh exotic frankincense are responsible on the dominant magically sultry dreamy-romantic aura. While classically structured with a supremely balanced (hesperidic/spicy/earthy/leafy) accord of citrus, botanic florals, dry fresh and woodsy notes this fragrance unfolds a quite contemporary aura with a magic interaction of subtle slightly smokey and mild frankincense, balsamic patterns from the dark forest (cypress with its piney mentholated aroma) and light coniferous resins. The Domenico Caraceni-rose is cold and slightly victorian, languid and balsamic, leafy and decadent in its incensey mysterious slightly laundry feel (as supported in it by cold geranium). Styrax, with its highly balsamic, spicy cinnamonic and slightly leathery/soapy/animalic kind of aura, is another key note of the complex formula. The bottom line is that this fragrance encapsulates the profile of a modern but traditional authoritative man and defines (as just few other creations are equally able to cast out in the worldwide olfactory panorama) a left over profile (and nowadays quite rare) of unattainable gentleman (stout on temperament, sensitive, elegant, confident) supremely entitled (as almost no others all around) to turn in to a veritable dream the life of the living on his side beloved.
