Stronger With You Freeze by Emporio Armani (2020) is really just a sweeter and freshened up take on the original Stronger With You By Emporio Armani (2017) and isn't anything worth fretting over. This stuff doesn't really live up to the "freeze" descriptor at all, as it's just another take on the Paco Rabanne Invictus (2013) and Yves Saint Laurent Y EdP (2018) style copied ad infinitum ad nauseum; the only thing that really separates Stronger With You Freeze from the many men's designers in the same vein is the slight gourmand chestnut facet that ties it in with the original pillar release in the range. For me this is a nothingburger, but for some others, it was a religious experience only once they learned it was discontinued

The opening is a slightly revised one that focuses much more on citrus notes than Stronger With You, and there is the inclusion of lavender absent from the original release too. I don't get the puff of violet found in the original here either, although violet is inherently mature for most of the target market buying these, so you may notice that a lot of the limited flankers in the Stronger With You range pluck it out. From there, the same woody-ambery dry down laced with bubblegum and vanilla is there, albeit this time less about the amber and more about the scratchy fake woods that are probably a nod to what's in Dior Sauvage (2015). As a flanker, this is a serviceable alternative to the original but it doesn't feel better for summer, or necessarily more casual either.

Performance is appropriately "beast mode" for all your TikTok influencer needs, and of course a more-generic flanker of a somewhat unique spin on gourmand woody amber scents would be the one all the single brain-celled organisms in the online fragrance community would go absolutely bonkers for when discontinued. Just like the following year's La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique by Yves Saint Laurent (2021), when Stronger With You Freeze debuted, most people yawned and moved onto the next; but the very minute this mediocre little impulse grab of a scent turned out to be a one-year limited release, everyone lost their minds and declared it the best of the range and a lost masterpiece. I think you all know by now how I feel about that. Neutral

Strong, sweet and pleasant. Nothing ground breaking but a decent offering nevertheless.

Very similar to the original Stronger With You, meaning it's very sweet and not something I would say is unique, but still on the good side of pulling compliments. I do get a brighter, more citrusy opening with the Freeze version but make no mistake about it, this is a heavy, sweet scent best for cooler weather.

The drydown is a bit lighter than the original. It feels like just a sweet vanilla while the original almost has a caramel-coffee sweetness to it.

I find performance to be roughly the same as the original, which is very good. Projects and lasts all day.
