The company says:

Capturing the soul of an ancient historic Florentine pub at dawn, when the lights go out and the scent of memories comes alive. The intensity of the accord of Whisky, Leather and Tobacco evokes a night of party and excess around a gaming table, when the last laughs and secrets exchanged between friends blend in the air.

Gioco all'Alba by Bois 1920 is a fresh/warm tobacco leaves/leather-nuanced spicy smoky oriental unisex fragrance launched in 2024. By its initially luminous symphony of spicy freshness and woodsy warmth, Gioco all’Alba is supposed to capture the fleeting magic of dawn when sun-light slowly awakens the world and the cool air is still overloaded by dew. Intended by Bois 1920 as a fragrance that celebrates the bright freshness of dawn in a naturalistic landscape, Gioco all'Alba is based on a main musky accord of citrus/florals (mainly orange plus orange blossom), spicy (saffronish) and peated tobacco flower, sugary whisky and vanilla woods (finally providing depty and warmth). Sparkling citrus notes mingle with tender leafy florals and velvety woods plus soft leather, evoking the first rays of sun caressing the wet air. Elegant yet polyhedric this fragrance celebrates new beginnings with a graceful balance between spicy citric vitality and woody smoky serenity. What does Gioco all'Alba smell like? I'd say spicy orangy whisky plus a touch of burnt sugar and light florals on a base of smoky woods and musky vanilla. Gioco all’Alba has a fresh, citrusy floral boozy (peated) scent with soft woody and musky undertones and a soothing final touch of vanilla. It opens with bright citrus, saffron, florals and aromatic green notes quickly enriched by smoky whisky and soft leather plus a touch of burnt sugar and tobacco, than settles into a warm, smooth base of woods, vanilla and musk. Overall, it smells clean, elegant and subtly warm, suitable for daytime wear but with that soft boozy woody touch turning it in to a solid solution for a night time out as well. I honestly can't think of a fragrance really similar to Gioco all'Alba if not vaguely the favorite of mine 2025 darker and more intimistic Marcoccia Bacio Amaro (cognac, spicy orange, tobacco, woods and vanilla). Though not my cup of tea I'd say it's another interesting fragrance from Bois 1920 with eccellent duration and more than average projection on my skin.
