Gold Rush Man

Gold Rush Man is one of the better celebrity fragrances I have encountered over the years. I’ve found that the Paris Hilton men’s fragrances are all quite good and reasonably priced. Gold Rush Man has a slightly sweet scent, but it’s not overly sweet like bubblegum; instead, it features a pleasant Tonka and Amber accord. I believe this fragrance can be worn in all four seasons and makes a solid addition to your collection. I highly recommend giving it a try!

The opening is sweet and citrusy followed quickly by more sweet tonka/vanilla and seductive, powdery cardamom. Reminds me of Mandarina Duck Black or Halloween Man Shot in both quality and scent. I find it to be very unisex and also a little young/juvenile because of the bubblegum sweetness.

Overall, it is enjoyable but I think I'd like to smell it on others more than myself.

Projection is solid, especially on warm skin. That's where it really picks up and pushes. Can get loud so spray accordingly. I get 8-9 hours.

Loud and brash top with bergamot, Mandarin, and cardamom. A definite masculine combo, in my mind. Brisk, lightly sweet heart notes. The lavender and sage are almost soapy. Then GRM begins to remind me of something I've worn in the 80's. I don't know why. It has an 80's vibe to it. Anyway, a sweet wood, Tonka mix appears. Dark amber. Caramelized vanilla candy on the base. I enjoy the base, the most, out of this fragrance.

Yawn. Another follower of 1 Million. An overly sweet tonka base. I sought this one for quite a while, and once I got it, wow so disappointed. Of course Fragrantica reviewers are raving.. well.. lol that's what I get for reading Fragrantica reviews. Paris Hilton for Men, and Just Me are both phenomenal releases, everything else is crap.
