Violet Leaves, Saffron and Raspberry; middle notes are Cypriol, Pine needles and Cashmeran; base notes are Cedarwood, Moss, Sandalwood, Amber, Musk and Vanilla. 3/22/26, 6 sprays, 7:45 pm - I've had a few letdowns recently, so decided to try this on a Sunday night b4 possibly ... Anyway, the reviews were fascinating and the notes seemed impossible for this. And $18? Goes on with a blast, in the "standard ME" general vicinity with saffron, sandalwood, cinn, touch of rose, touch of oud, touch of leather kind of thing. And a separate scent of cedar that brings Epic to mind. But there is a soil element here, and the standard ME accord is neither as sweet nor dense as wdb expected. There is a light bitterness, little pieces of copa and popcorn, a clear vanilla whichs adds a bit of sweetness. A light turpentine (probably cypriol) and lumber (cedar and pine at the 30 minute mark). There is also a leathery piece, but more of an impression than the actual note. At one hour, just now looking at notes, I can't say that I get the violet or raspberry, though there is a tangy quality that raspberry could explain. The earthy, dry and slightly bitter part differentiates this from the pack, and that is what sets the hook. Quite remarkable for the price range. This is what "Walk on the Dirt" SHOULD have smelled like. Other more eloquent reviewers have set the mental images of this better than I could, but this evokes The Witcher images of camping in primordial forests, smelling of dirt and campfire and lichen. Home run tor those who like realistic forest scents.
