I usually love sents with violet notes, so thought I'd give this a try.

However, I keep detecting an underlying note of body odor, like unwashed armpit or crotch. It's really offputting on my skin and almost makes me gag.

I guess I am NOT a Halloween Man.

In the same league as Armani Code Profumo, Montblanc Legend Night, P.R. One Million and others (partially Le Male Ultra Male) but with its own fizzy-spicy-fruity individual spark. Opening is kind of freshly intoxicating, aromatic and vaguely fizzy-boozy. I detect the violet's touch in the general ambery/musky/leathery woodiness. Cinnamon is quite notable and partakes in the general dustiness. Dry down is a well known (since the One Million's inception and even earlier) dusty/leathery blast of cinnamonic/woody ambroxan. Not unique, just a fancy fragrance in a decent synth contemporary way.

Decent apple and vanilla scent. It's not a creamy scent, kinda on the sharp side. Sweet, fresh and synthetic, so should garner compliments.

I get good projection in the beginning and longevity is good as well, lasts 7-8 hours.

Not unpleasant to the nose but not impressive. Pre drydown the base seems to be very evident of green apple schnapps dyed purple from a supporting violet note. A violet blended with some bittersweet note I initially can't identify. Tones of a sharp wood (a warm version of cedar?) and ambroxan cutting through the mix.

Post drydown the green apple schnapps goes light and the violet takes over as the base. The bittersweet note teasing the violet I get is Super Bubble or Dubble Bubble (pink gum). In addition to that a black leather note, cinnamon, and orange blossom so I'm getting a Joop! Homme vibe from this. Still getting tones of ambroxan and sharp wood.

I'm going to give Halloween Man a thumbs down rating. This seems like it was created via survey from J. Del Pozo to the early 20's crowd on what is the most popular fragrance and the best notes in perfumery. Their answer was Joop! Homme and notes of apple and ambroxan that's been overused in perfumery since the mid 2000's as innovative. The outcome smells like it's a bottled Halloween party hosted by a fraternity or sorority. Appletinis and purple glowsticks galore. Joop! and widely copied ambroxan scents floating in the air. It's just so clownish and not masculine at all.

I have been waiting to try this for the past two years.
Finally blind purchased a bottle and I am very happy.

If the color Purple had a Fragrance than this would be it so... the purple box and purple bottle really work here.
Rich, Fruity and Deep. A pleasant companion to the notes in Armani Code but with a fruity base that is more pleasing to my nose.

I understand the comparisons to 1 Million but I prefer Halloween Man for it's more complex base.
I'll enjoy wearing this during the cooler months ahead.
Fantastic!

One of my top 10. Amazing, unique, intriguing and gets lots of compliments. Excellent sillage and longevity. Stays true from the top notes drydown all the way to the base notes. Great Fall, Evening, Winter scent due to the spicy notes. Deep, sensual and true to its campaign slogan, "BEWARE OF YOURSELF."
