Armaf (2018)

Armaf Legesi smells incredible to me. Sharp, clean, fresh, powdery, woody with a slight citrusy petitgrain up top. It also gives the vibes of Gillette shaving cream and razor blades (slightly metallic) I love barbershop fougeres, and this definitely scratches that itch. Very happy to own it.

Right from the start this fragrance made me recognise two things. It really smells like 90's and kind of like Cool Water but not really. Soapy in the elegant way that I find familiar but don't actually like. Bear with me, I do like Cool Water, I'll explain. So, for the entire hour of wearing it I couldn't acutally ascertain why I don't like it and what fragrance exactly is Legesi copying. Then I made the connection with Chanel Platinum Egoiste - which I don't like. Oh I like to smell it on others, but I never liked how the stuff smelled and smells on me.

If you don't want to break the bank with Platinum Egoiste, you can take Armaf Legesi into consideration. It's a good copy, albeit maybe just a bit less "natural" than Chanel, but in the drydown it gets much better.

Neutral rating due to not liking the style of this fragrance and not liking Chanel Plaitnum Egoiste as well. However I have to admit that this fragrance is quite well made.
