I can't find the original Pour Homme on basenotes so I'm writing my review here.

This fragrance, despite its release many decades ago, exudes a modern barbershop essence that remains timeless. The latest formulation is truly remarkable, emanating an exquisite scent. The harmonious combination of lemon and green elements creates a refreshing and invigorating aroma. What sets it apart is its ability to exude a natural fragrance, evoking a sense of authenticity as if the notes were sourced directly from nature.

Reminds me of the citrus from L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme and the medicinal woodiness from Clinique Skin Chemistry or even Lalique White. Has some spice and maturity to it but ultimately comes off as light and clean.

Performance was average on my skin for both projection and longevity.

It's a Loewe fragrance that started life in 1978 and this version is perhaps just a little spicier top note(pink pepper?) than the original, but essentially the same mid and basenotes as I recall. Fine with me.
Longevity is a given with Loewe fragrances. no change here then.Try it, buy it, enjoy it.

Another let down from Loewe. They seem to like a pepper base on which they overlay something nice and fresh temporarily but this quickly evaporates leaving you with a gradually more dominant acrid pepper. Individual sports flankers tinker with the individual notes and strength of expression but the basic formula is the same. Freshness with pepper to keep it masculine. In this particular case the deterioration suddenly stops so you are left with a pleasant mild grapefruit and pepper. Neither good nor bad but I would expect Loewe to do much better. At least they removed the element that reminded me of piss du chat -and which made me and others wonder if it had 'gone bad' from Loewe pour Homme.
If you are looking for fresh go for Solo. It is one of the few to get regular compliments before it burns off only too quickly. Wonder what the Solo Sport is like. Please not more pepper.

Starts with sharp citrus and a healthy dose of pepper on my skin, soon followed by a dry cedar note that is quite nicely done. After about a half hour, the spiciness is substituted by aquatic accord while the citrus remains present. The watery notes are accompanied in the background by aromatic herbs and the cedarwood. The projection starts moderate and is dropping to skin level within 2 hours. After 5 hours all that remains is a soft aromatic skin scent that doesn't say much. The overall feel is pleasant, especially the first hours; it's the kind that will not offend anyone but will not wake any excitement either as it is pretty safe, generic and synthetic mostly in the drydown, the traditional "sport" cologne.

This is a very simple fresh green fragrance without any special character but smells very pleasant.
The opening is a fresh, bright, slightly bitter, very green, mossy and kind of piny smell along with some fresh citruses in the background but definitely green feeling is the main theme of the scent.

As time passes and in the mid there is no change but in the base scent gets slightly sweet and some watery transparent floral notes joining in.
Projection is average and longevity is around 4-5 hours on the skin.
Smells fine but $80 for this? I don't think so!
