I'm pleasantly surprised! The vibrant color of the bottle caught my attention, and I'm glad it did. This fragrance smells like a muted version of Byredo's Pulp, without the tart apple and with the blackcurrant replaced by galbanum. It has a very similar woody fig feeling and is tropical, slightly salty, and oceanic. However, I wouldn't classify it as an aquatic; it's mainly tropical, woody, and floral.

The performance is pretty good, and I would actually prefer this over Byredo's Pulp because I was turned off by its sourness and tartness. Those elements still exist in this fragrance, but it feels more rounded and balanced. It doesn't feel like you're smelling overripe or rotting fruit. Some people say they get a bit of Philosykos, and I can see it with the similarity of the green galbanum and fig. Imagine Philosykos if it had more fruit and yellow florals.

I'm leaning towards purchasing a full bottle of this one. It leans a bit feminine, but it's totally unisex. For now, I'll add it to my wishlist.
