Miss Dior Rose N'Roses

Why, isn't this the daintiest rose I've ever laid my nose on. It's sparkling, slightly sweet, very much like rose water, and a thoroughly modern Millie, expect nothing verdant, nothing mossy or woody. While it's nice, it does lack character—there isn't much here to underpin the rose and make it feel just a bit more fleshy and substantial.

I like my rose fragrances to make a statement, even if it is a subtle. Even classic rose scents like Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose and Jo Malone Red Roses have a bit of tale to tell beyond their apparent soliflore nature. Rose N Roses is jusr that: rose, and more rose, and more, until it fades into...faded rose laid on white musk.

So, I am at a restaurant, and the most phenomenal smell hits me as a great looking girl walks by. I had to ask what she was wearing, which I never do. She said it's Dior. I pressed her further, as it seemed that she did not want to be more specific because she very likely wanted to be the only one with this wonderful scent. "Rose and Roses," she said reluctantly. Ladies do not hesitate to purchase this wonderful gem. As a guy, I rarely smell a perfume that knocks my socks off. This will get a guy's attention. Five Stars!!!

I like this Rose n' Roses. I've seen mixed reviews for this line, but I have smelled this enough times now to confirm that my impression of liking it is reproducible. I smelled it blind this morning, and I thought it smelled like classic Dior.

Another groovy potpourri rose.

While I wish there was a bit more going on at the tail end of this fragrance (some patchouli would have helped the faceting, for instance), this remains a reliably happy rose scent, although I think the geranium is almost present enough to deserve dual-billing. Rose N'Roses will not surprise you but it probably won't let you down either.
