The company says:

A unique bright green floral on a base of sheer amber and soft woods, Mt. Adams is a vivid tribute to a neighborhood that has long offered Cincinnatians a peaceful break from the city below. Set like a mountain village with its dramatic views of the downtown skyline, the Ohio River and Northern Kentucky, there isn’t a more beautiful vista in the region.

Liz Zorn is dead on in her statement about “pushing a green concept to its…quirky edge” with Mt. Adams. It does indeed live in its own world, conjuring a landscape unlikely to be found anywhere near Cincinnati (where admittedly I haven’t spent much time)—or Earth. That’s not to say it smells synthetic, but rather like Zorn has synthesized a fantasy tropical pine forest from mostly natural ingredients. Here, the conifers have petrol for sap and bear spiky but surprisingly edible fruit, assuming it’s picked on exactly the right day.

You have to be in a rare mood to wear Mt. Adams; it’s no one’s idea of a daily driver. Small wonder it was produced in a limited edition of 25 bottles. I don’t know that I find it any easier to wear than the person who sold it to me did, but I’ll be holding onto it. I have rare moods, after all.
