Latest Reviews of Oleander
These remarks are for the vintage formula in a multi-faceted bottle and logo with a crown image on top. I have never sniffed the re-release in the square bottle and likely never will, based on the two previous reviews.
My bottle contains juice that is a sweet creamy floral with a current of herb running through it, which makes it enjoyable to my nose. As always, YMMV.

The original Oleander was a heavenly, creamy floral. The reformulated abomination is an aldehyde-spiked, undifferentiated powdery floral -- mostly orris root (or a synthetic approximation), but without any of the carroty, woody, or cool metallic distinctiveness of other iris fragrances. A badly done retro reboot. What a disappointment.

This is an odd scent -like their Jasmine, it is very strong. I have never experienced the scent of Oleander on its own, so don't know how true this may be.
One is hit with a very sweet wisteria-like opening, then settling to something akin to a medicinal unguent supporting a heady floral.
I didn't care for it at all. The medicinal quality made it a true turn-off for me.
