What for me makes scents like Pas Ce Soir feel so hollow and abrasive is that there is little in the way of duality. As a steeped and saturated fruity floral, it gives so much of a higher register, there is really no underline. The opening is sweet, juicy, but also has that stifling "wall-of-smell" quality that drowns out whatever nuance could make such a concept beautiful and seductive. It verges on vulgar to my nose, almost like a "pick me" perfume—"I am here, don't I spell beautiful?" it seems to implore.

The quince accord comes off a bit more like having a bowl of Fruity Pebbles with a glass of apple juice than the subtle charm of the fruit freshly sliced or cooked into a jam. This is not the quince I experience in Penhaligon's Zaara or Galop d'Hermes, glinting slivers of fragrant fruit. This pummels with a fat, droopy jasmine sidekick until both are completely subsumed by amber woods and cashmeran, leaving an upscale mall pong that leaves an indelible and shrieking impression on skin, clothes, air—like glitter, impossible to remove completely.

Forget about that supposed patchouli note in the pyramid. If ONLY it were apparent to douse the shrillness of this rapacious beast.

If you like quince and ginger then this perfume is for you. Ginger is out all the time and can be headache inducing or cloying for some noses, that's why i don't recommend this as a blind buy. If you liked the discontinued perfume Le Feu d'Issey by Issey Miyake then you will like this one. This perfume is really expensive and kind of lack longevity for the price it has.

If you want something different and not the typical fruity floral then you will like this. You have to overspray it to get like 7-8 hours projection and longevity on clothes. Versatile, unique, sexy in its way, i think you will get attention because is so different from the rest.

I consider this perfume as unisex but leading more to the feminine side.

Purchased Pas Ce Soir blind as a gift for my daughter based upon YouTube recommendations. Not disappointed as the scent is exactly what she likes. A sweet mix of bright fruits paired with soft iris and light jasmine, yet there is a bit of warmth and depth underneath. Not a gourmand per se, but could be mistaken for a cotton candy in the early stages. The floral notes carry the heart without giving up much of the initial sweetness. IMO this is a perfect young ladies night out scent. Not a screamer but something different, noticeable and feminine.

This was my first ever niche purchase. I fell in love with how well balanced it is. To me, it’s sweet without being too sweet, woodsy without being too woodsy, fruity without being too fruity, spicey without being too spicey. I don’t know what quince smells like, but I’m guessing that it’s the bright note in here that I don’t recognize, but I can’t say whether or not it’s an accurate representation… it is however very pleasant to me. To me, this has a little bit of a carmelized sugar scent in the dry down, but it isn’t overpowering. The overall feel I get from this is a little bit of an edgy/cool girl type of scent. The longevity is pretty good for me, around 5 hrs, and the projection/sillage is low medium. I will say, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia is incredibly similar in the dry down. I’d say 95% match, but this one has slightly better performance.
