Ginger overload. It is so overdone in this scent I felt like my bronchioles were on fire. If they had just lightened up that note this would have been a winner with me as there was a lot to love here. I love the bergamot, pear, and orange blossom opening, leading into a jasmine that's big, blousy, and absolutely luscious. But then the gingers intensifies and overwhelms the scent, and nothing, not the amber or musk, could tamp it down. I'm not surprised you can pick this up on discount sites for under $20 today, which is too bad considering that if a little more care were taken, this could have been a great fragrance.
This one seems as though it was thrown together in a hurry. The top notes all merge together with the middle notes. One can pick out the individual notes if one tries. It's a kind of murky scent. Burnt sugar accord. The base doesn't wait to appear either. Amber, musk, and patchouli thrown together. Overall this is a dark and dreary perfume. Overdone. Eventually the whole thing mellows out. Reem Acra is like a strong thunderstorm that pushes its way through a valley. Eventually it dissipates - may even reveal a rainbow somewhere. Makes a better impression on the skin hours later.

Pleasant in a mainstream sort of way . Reem Acra's first venture into the world of perfume doesn't seem to have done anything groundbreaking , unfortunate for her as a new smash hit could have really helped launch her bridal / formalwear line into a much more well known designer .
Instead , she apparently opted to do a remake of either Armani Code or Burberry Brit ( seriously ! They are extremely similar !) The distinctiveness of this perfume? The bottle . I can easily see why this scent didn't do well at high end stores and has hit discounters for $7-$10 . I wouldn't want to pay upwards of $90 for a perfume that smells just like a couple of other popular ( and likely already owned ) established designer brands for a newcomer designer many may have not heard of .
Also although the bottle design is pretty , the gold mirrored top, bottom and sides with clear glass front and back mean that it will be a royal pain to keep clean of fingerprints for the average person who keeps a few bottles of perfume out on display /for ease of use.

The pleasantly zesty, citric opening quickly gave way to an amber-heavy musk that I swear I've smelled before. Then it hit me-- it was none other than Forever Krystal.
If you miss FK, or are curious about this cult classic (I don't-- hence the rating), Reem Acra might be a suitable substitute. It doesn't have the bombastic sillage or interminable longevity of FK,but the mimosa (not listed), amber and musk are prominent enough to effectively subdue the other notes.
