I smell plasticky hairspray aldehydes on top, with mushrooms, sour green mossy patchouli, clean soapy musk, and a medicinal undertone that I assume is the oud underneath. Given time, a vanilla sweetness slides in. So yeah, sweet weird plasticky mushrooms and sour greens.

I suspect that this was based on a concept - perhaps "Roots" signifies stuff found on a forest floor, especially moss and mushrooms. Or maybe "Roots" is a play on iris, in which the roots (as opposed to the flowers) are used for perfumes. In any case, I think this started as a concept and an ingredient list before it was made into an actual perfume. As such, this really strange mix of plastic, weirdness, and nature smells like a pieces of conceptual art - a clever idea that's just weird in actual practice.
