On the quest for as perfect an equine leather as there possibly can be, several were promising to start, but would often disassemble into hackneyed dry downs. Then I smelled Rotano and it is the exact whiff of horse stable that I wanted so badly, the buffalo leather seat of a worn and loved saddle, waves of timothy grass and sun-seasoned softness into a blanket. It has a warmed, almost musty wood and translucent frankincense resin in its base that feels like dusky bliss.

This is at the junction of sexy and serene. As I wear it, I listen to Slowdive's Pygmalion, the sky is that cerulean color just before everything goes dark, and it's just everything I could ask for in a fragrance, right here and now.
