This opens with a blast of pine and deep forest notes that somewhat give the impression of cypress. The greenness intensifies as the fresh-herbal mate note takes over. There is a touch of smoke lingering, possibly representing the tobacco accord, and a noticeable sweetness cutting through from the hay absolute. The composition is quite rustic and powerful, and I could see aspects of this lending to fall, winter, and spring alike. It’s an impressive debut offering from the house.
