The company says:

Shah'ryar initially teases us with hints of bergamot, osmanthus and caramel, calling us deeper into the experience with warm notes of vanilla, oud and sandalwood. Only at its most intimate core does Shah'ryar finally release its woody resinous heat.  This dance of the veils entices and dares us to explore the mysteries of the Orient.

Opens fruity and citric with plum and bergamot but is soon joined by a carmel which turns the concoction brutally sweet. Vanilla compounds the problem along with labdanum while osmanthus adds a floral note. Beeswax is noticable as is a hay note. The woody base is further fortified by oud but contains a sandalwood that seems inferior and is a letdown. Actually, the whole endeavor is, to me, a disappointment. Too sweet and really not my style. I don't say it often but this is one that really does give me a headache.
Seems overly synthetic. I tend to enjoy Rania J's offerings, but this is a misstep.
